April Membership Meeting

April 2, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join us for our April membership meeting. Meetings are free and open to the public and feature a guest speaker, door prizes, smoked Salmon for snacking and a 50 cent raffle. At our April membership meeting we will feature our Annual Fishing Panel!! This will be the sixteenth year for this Annual Fishing Panel!! There will be once again four panel members each taking their turn to answer a series of twelve Salmon & Trout fishing related questions. This year’s panel probably has the most total years of fishing experience out of all of our sixteen panels! Between the four panel members there is a total of all most one hundred & fifty years of Salmon & Trout Fishing on Lake Michigan! Two of them started in the late 1960s, one started in 1978 and the fourth one started just seven years ago. Now that is a lot of fishing experience!! Our four panel members are Bob Mueller/Reel Hook R, Henry Tilidetzke/ Strike Force, Bruce Uttech/Lone Goose and Gary Werner/Jenna Lee! Their names are listed alphabetically and this order also matches their years of experience listed above with Bob having the least years of experience. If you want to learn about Salmon & Trout fishing do not miss this meeting and its Fishing Panel!! One of them had a Captains license, too in the Milwaukee area. Bob enjoys taking people out fishing and seeing them catch fish. His boat is a 34’ Sea Ray and he averages some 35 trips per year. He gets out around the end of April and goes out until mid October. Bob usually fishes straight out of the Port harbor going out as far as 250’ of water. He is happy to catch a few fish per time out and to enjoy eating them. Bob eats the fish fresh and does not freeze them. He considers himself as a casually fisherman. Henry has a 25’ Sportcraft and fishes with his wife and friends getting out around 15 times per year. Bruce trys to get out 2 times per week, May through October. His boat is a 24’ Mirrocraft. He had quit fishing for a while and later got back into it and joined our club. Gary has a 20’ Bayliner and gets out about 15 times per year. He was thirteen years old when he started fishing on his father’s boat. That is enough info, I will let them tell their own story!! Thank you 2019 panel members for agreeing to be on our Fishing Panel!! We are looking forward to listening to all of you!
