2015 Public Fishing Derby Prize List Winners
The 2015 Great Lakes Sport Fishermen – Ozaukee Chapter Public Fishing Derby was held on July 3, 4, 5, 2015. Before we list the prize winners we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the many donors and sponsors of the 2015 Derby. With all their generous donations and sponsorships, our prize package was over $12,800 in total prize value. Listed below in (alphabetical order) are the many donors and sponsors. We ask that you please patronize their fine establishments and / or products and thank them for their 2015 Derby contributions. This Derby along with a Super Raffle held in November 2015 are the two main fundraisers each year for our Club which allows our Club to give back to the Lake Michigan fishery in a number of ways which has totaled over $150,000 since our inception in 1982.

2015 Derby Prizes
Grand Prize
The Grand Prize starts out with a $1,200 prize payout. Also included with in the Grand Prize is a ConTrollKing Remote Throttle Control donated by ConTrollKing ( Magma Mfg ), a Fish Hawk TD digital Temperature and Depth Sensor donated by Fish Hawk, a Torpedo Deep Fishing Diver Set including a Cuda Torpedo Diver and a Torpedo Deep Sea Diver donated by Torpedo Divers.
First Place
The First Place Prize has a $300 prize payout. Each of the remaining four First place winners will receive one of the four assorted sizes of Torpedo Divers donated by Torpedo Divers. The four prize sizes are Cuda, Musky with one Rainbow Richard Fly, Shark with 2 Rainbow Richard Flies, Snapper with 3 Rainbow Richard Flies.
Second Place
The Second Place Prize consists of a Diawa Rod And Reel Combo. The Diawa reel donated by both Diawa and our Club is a Sealine SG57LC3B line counter reel. The Diawa rod donated by Diawa is a new Diawa DTX 9 foot rod. Rounding out our Second Place Prize is one of our “Super Assortments” which were donated by Salty Dawg Flies, Brads Cut Plugs, Fish-d-Funk and Atlas Mikes. The Second Place “Super Assortment” consists of one Salty Dawg Fly, one lemon / lime Brads Super Bait Cut Plug, one Mikes Extra Stength Lunker Lotion and two Fish-d-Funk Hand Wipe packs.
Third Place
The Third Place Prize consists of an assortment of fishing equipment and tackle donated by Cabela’s in Richfield. The Cabela’s fishing equipment includes a Cabela’s DepthMaster Telescoping Rod and Reel combo with a DM 30 reel and a DM telescoping trolling rod. A Cabela’s Fisherman Series Bag with 4 Stowaway utility boxes is also included. Finally, the remainder of Cabela’s donation includes one Pro Troll Hot Chip 8 Flasher , one Moonshine Lure super glow spoon and one original Howie Fly. Also included is one $25 Gift Card from Cedar Lake Sales & Service donated by Cedar Lake Sales and Service in West Bend. Rounding out our Third Place Prize is another one of our “Super Assortments” which were donated by Dreamweaver & Pro King. The Third Place “Super Assortment” consists of two asst Dreamweaver 8″ Spin Doctor flashers, two asst Dreamweaver Spoons & five asst Pro King Pro-Flies.
Fourth Place
The Fourth Place Prize consists of an assortment of fishing tackle donated by Dreamweaver. This Dreamweaver assortment consists of one plastic Flasher storage box, six assorted color 8 inch SpinDoctor Flashers, two assorted color Rip Cords, three assorted color Dreamweaver Strong Flies and three assorted color Dreamweaver Action Flies. Rounding out our Fourth Place Prize is another one of our “Super Assortments” which were donated by Dreamweaver & Pro King. The Fifth Place Prize includes one $100 Gift Card for Drews True Value Hardware Store in Port Washington donated by Drews True Value, Tires Unlimited Auto Service, Gary’s Automotive Solutions and Kaliber Auto Body all in Port Washington. Rounding out our Fifth Place Prize is two of our “Super Assortments” which were donated by Salty Dawg Flies, Brads Cut Plugs, Fish-d-Funk and Atlas Mikes & Dreamweaver & Pro King. One 8″ Coyote flasher from Midwestern Shooters Supply is also included with the MA30D reel combos.Also included in the sixth Place Prize is one $25 Warrior Spoon Gift Certificate donated by Warrior Spoons. Finally, there is a Mustad assortment donated by O Mustad & Sons. The assortment consists of one Mustad Filet Knife, one Mustad Multi Use Pliers & five asst packs of Mustad 6 pack treble hooks.
Seventh Place
The Seventh Place Prize consists of a Rainbow Richard Fly Assortment and Plastic Storage Box donated by both Rainbow Richard and our Club. Also included in this prize is assorted tackle donated by Church Tackle Company & Jeff’s Tackle. Each seventh place winner receives one TX 22 Planer Board. Other items divided up to the winners includes assorted Church Tackle flasher, planer board, Stern Boards & assorted Jeff’s Tackle spoons, flies, meat rigs.
Eighth Place
The Eighth Place Prize consists of two Dan Keating books donated by Dan Keating – Keating on Kings and his newest book Grat Lakes Salmon & Trout Fishing – Essential Tactics and Seasonal Strategies. Additionally the Eighth Place Price includes one Chamberlain Downrigger release donated by Northern Strike ( Chamberlain Release ).
